According to the report, the retinal-pathway device's 320 resolution is the highest achieved in China; the hospital's research team has been developing it since 2014, paired with smart glasses that capture images and convert them into signals. After more than two months of training, the report says, the patient can clearly recognize and neatly write Chinese characters — including the characters for 'China' (中国) — precisely grasp everyday objects such as a computer mouse and drink bottles, and in indoor walking tests move steadily along straight lines and complete right-angle turns unaided.
