BCIwiki (bciwiki.com) — On July 17, 2026, the Professional Committee of Brain Function Detection and Regulation Rehabilitation of the Chinese Association of Rehabilitation Medicine will hold a workshop on "Naoke China: Brain-Computer Interface — EEG-driven TMS Closed-loop Regulation" in Guangzhou. The workshop is part of the 2026 annual conference of the committee and the 8th Brain Function Detection and Regulation Rehabilitation Forum, scheduled for July 17-19 at the Sofitel Guangzhou Sunrich.
The workshop focuses on BCI applications in neurorehabilitation, particularly closed-loop regulation that triggers transcranial magnetic stimulation based on real-time EEG analysis when specific brain states are detected. According to the organizers, this "brain-state-dependent stimulation" mode combines the high spatial precision of TMS with the high temporal resolution of EEG, offering a pathway from conventional open-loop stimulation to closed-loop neuromodulation.
