BCIwiki (bciwiki.com) — Barcelona-based InBrain Neuroelectronics announced a collaboration with Microsoft to develop AI technologies for neurology and brain-computer interfaces. According to a post on InBrain's website, the partnership will combine InBrain's expertise in neuroscience, bioelectronics, and AI with Microsoft's cloud and AI infrastructure, providing a data foundation for neurological treatments and BCI technology.
InBrain focuses on a graphene-based neural BCI platform as an adjunctive therapy for Parkinson's disease. In 2023, the technology received breakthrough device designation from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and the first-in-human study began in fall 2025. InBrain said its work sits at the intersection of neuroscience, bioelectronics, and AI, and the collaboration with Microsoft will help advance the field.
